TRIATHLON WEEK - TRAVEL DESTINATIONS

Just a quick reminder that the Spring Wheel Sale ends at close of business tomorrow!

Only 3 days left for the Spring Wheel Sale - Ends March 15th Close of Business!  Don't miss out on some great deals for new wheels for the upcoming season.  Wondering what you could do with your old wheel set?  Make it a training set and that way your new wheel set will be for races only!

Also a reminder about our new shop hours:

We have new hours

Tom had been hearing from his customers that it was not always possible to get to the shop with his hours that he had been using since the shop opened.  So he listened to his customers and effective March 1st here is the new schedule (yes they are in effect now!)

Monday: 10-8
Tuesday: 10-8
Wednesday: 10-6
Thursday: 10-8
Friday: 10-6
Saturday: 10-6

Now that we have the reminders out of the way lets get down to Triathlon Business and Travel Destinations.

So you have found a triathlon you want to do out of the area and are planning on flying there.  Well did you know that Tom's rents travel bags?  That is right and we can even disassemble the bike, pack it up, and have it ready for you to bring to your race.  Inside the bag are instructions and all the accessories you need to make for a safe flight for the bike.  The only thing we cannot do is get is past TSA for you without them looking inside - sorry about that.

Travel Bags ($75 week) are also available

While you are at it and traveling to a race you might as well grab a set of Rental Wheels if you don't happen to purchase a new set this week during our great sale that we are holding.

Wheel Rentals - Multiple Available

Reynolds Strike (60mm), Reynolds Assault (46mm), Shimano Dura-Ace C50 (50mm), Shimano Dura-Ace C35 (35mm), Reynolds Element Disc*, HED Disc*

Includes: Tire, Tubes, & Cassette
$100.00 - Weekend (Pair)  *$100.00 - Weekend (Each)

With your bike all packaged up with a great set of rental wheels where are you going to race?

I know a lot of people that went down to Key West recently for a nice winter destination event - The Bone Island Triathlon.  A lot of people are not going to travel for a Sprint or Olympic distance and the Bone Island has Half or Full Iron Distance for you.  What better way to spend a weekend or week and include some recovery time in the Keys as well.

If you are really up for some travel you can head to the Southern Hemisphere and attempt either the New Zealand or Western Australia Ironman.  You could convince me to get in Ironman shape if you told me I would be visiting New Zealand or Australia very easily.

Obviously you have to go somewhere warm if you are going to do a Swim/Bike/Run Triathlon but for those who are hardy and don't mind cold weather how about a Winter Triathlon.  You could try the Gunstock Winter Triathlon out and give this Trail Run/Mountain Bike/Cross Country Ski event out to keep your winter fitness up.  It looks like this years event was cancelled due to a lack of snow but I am sure there are others in the Northern part of the country that would challenge you.

If you have any questions about the rental equipment, wheel sale, new hours, or need some new equipment for your upcoming season stop by the shop, give us a call, or send us an e-mail.
