I stayed at Mulberry Gap in August of 2011 to prepare for a go at a race that passes through the area - Trans North Georgia.  The facilities are outstanding, the food is fine dining quality in a rustic setting, and the riding is spectacular, demanding, and fulfilling!

First off - this is not a hotel experience.  This is a rustic cabin/camping setting, but the cabins are far from rustic!  They are individual cabins with a centrally located restroom/shower facility and a gathering/dining area building.  There are hot tubs available for use and the mountain biking and views will take your breath away!  The cabins themselves are beautiful, heated, and very comfortable - you will not be disappointed.  The food is unbelievably good and filling.  There is an abundant amount of food available during meal time and the staff is very pleasant to deal with.

As it says above, this is a Ride In - Ride Out facility with great mountain right out your door.  The Pinhoti Trail is about a 5 minute ride away.  When I stayed there they had summer help on board and he took us out the following morning and showed us some great riding.  I would suggest a full suspension mountain bike to fully enjoy the trails and be prepared for some climbing!

To me the best thing about staying at Mulberry Gap was the friendship that you develop with the staff and meet like-minded people who love biking just like I do!

Winter cabin pricing beginning Thursday, January 3rd - March 3rd $65/person/night inclusive of dinner & breakfast, bed and bath linens and of course, cabins are heated! Remember you can ride here all year!  Mention you saw the pricing special on Tom's Pro Bike Blog.

Next up stop by Tom's Pro Bike and grab your new mountain bike and accessories to ride at Mulberry Gap this winter.  Read about the Specialized Epic Comp which we highlighted last Monday or the Specialized Rock Hopper 29 Comp.  The sell price is not valid still but we can still provide an outstanding price and help you gear up for your mountain bike vacation!
