Travel By Bike Thursday - SPECIALIZED SECTUR SPORT COMPACT

While this is not your "typical" touring/commuting bike - the Specialized Sectur Sport Compact has the ability to have a rear rack attached to it to carry your panniers.  Typically it is not an important commuter feature for me to have racking ability, but when the summer time heat and humidity hit not having a backpack strapped to me is something I don't ever complain about.  The great thing about the Sectur is that you can use it for commuting/touring and also recreational riding and even racing if you are not worried about have a top end carbon fiber race bike.  This is probably one of best selling models to customers that are looking at getting back into bike riding because we all know at one point of our life all we did was ride our bikes!

Let's see what Specialized has to say:  Roubaix-inspired Endurance Road geometry, FACT carbon fork with vibration-absorbing Zertz, and shaped tube sets make the Secteur Sport stable, smooth, and quick. Upgraded wheelset and 9-speed Shimano Sora compact drivetrain add efficiency and reliability.
  • Lightweight, A1 Premium Aluminum, smooth-welded, butted frame features hydroformed, shaped seatstays with In-Zertz for great vertical compliance and confident ride
  • Specialized FACT carbon fork with Zerts provides predictable steering and smooth handling
  • Espoir Sport 25c tires with BlackBelt punture protection allows for smooth, fast, and confident ride
  • Specialized Comp shallow drop alloy bar for serious performance; wrapped with non-slip Specialized Roubaix tape for vibration-damping
  • Never miss a critical shift with new Shimano Sora STI shifters
