Specialized Spring Classic Sale - SPECIALIZED TARMAC

Friday we announced a huge Specialized sale so I figured this week we would do a daily highlight of each model that is on sale through April 22nd!

Today we are going to cover the Tarmac for you.

The top of the Tarmac is the SL4 Expert UI2 Mid-Compact bike that has a MSRP of $5,100.00.  Until April 22nd you can get this bike for $4,100.00 at Tom's Pro Bike.

Whether it's winning the Tour de France or a city-limit sprint, the next generation of Tarmac—the SL4—was born to race, with head-snapping acceleration and razor-sharp handling. The Expert model has even higher stiffness-to-weight than last year's industry-leading SL3 frame, and features new Ui2 electronic shifting for immediate, spot-on shifting, plus DT Axis 4.0 wheels.

  • Specialized SL4 FACT IS 10r carbon frame with uniquely shaped, tapered head tube and OSBB: now even stiffer and lighter for pure, unbridled speed and power
  • Full monocoque FACT carbon fork with a tapered carbon steerer is super light with great torsional rigidity for high-speed handling
  • Specialized Turbo Elite 100 TPI, offers BlackBelt protection for a tough tire that still offers low rolling resistance, great traction, and light weight to allow for quick climbs and fast descents
  • FSA SL-K Light carbon BB30 crank is stiff and light for excellent power transfer
  • 1-1/8" to 1-3/8" headset with sealed, stainless steel bearings ensures precision, low maintenance, and lighter weight; with 20mm of carbon spacers
  • Adjustable 4-position oversized alloy stem with carbon-clip front cone plus 31.8mm bar clamp for strength and versatile positioning
  • FACT carbon Comp seatpost absorb road vibrations and is stiff and efficient; paired with comfortable, high-performance Body Geometry Toupe Sport saddle with flat profile and Cr-Mo rails

The next bike is going to be the Tarmac Elite Mid-Compact with a MSRP of $2,500 but is on sale for $2,100.

Whether it's winning the Tour de France or a city-limit sprint, Tarmac is made for racing, with its powerful acceleration and razor-sharp handling. The Elite features Shimano 105 components plus DT Axis 3.0 wheels, keeping the performance and durability up and the cost down.
  • FACT IS 8r carbon frame with tapered head tube and elliptical seatstays is race-ready stiff and fast without sacrificing compliance
  • The monocoque FACT carbon fork is light, stiff, and compliant with a tapered steerer
  • Specialized Turbo Elite 100 TPI, offers BlackBelt protection for a tough tire that still offers low rolling resistance, great traction, and light weight to allow for quick climbs and fast descents
  • Adjustable 4-position oversized alloy stem with carbon-clip front cone plus 31.8mm bar clamp for strength and versatile positioning
  • Smooth, precise Shimano 105 STI shifters are renowned for their race-ready performance and exceptional value
  • Specialized Comp FACT carbon seatpost absorbs road vibrations and is stiff and efficient; paired with ultra-light and stiff Body Geometry Toupe Sport saddle with Cr-Mo rails

The final model we are going to show you today is the entry level Tarmac Mid-Compact with a MSRP of $1,750 but on sale for $1,450.

Whether it's winning the Tour de France or a city-limit sprint, Tarmac is made for racing, with its powerful acceleration and razor-sharp handling. This Tarmac features Shimano Sora components plus DT Axis 1.0 wheels, keeping the performance and durability up and the cost down.
  • FACT IS 8r carbon frame with tapered head tube and elliptical seatstays is race-ready stiff and fast without sacrificing compliance
  • The monocoque FACT carbon fork is light, stiff, and compliant with a tapered steerer
  • DT Axis 1.0 wheelset is light, tough and fast-rolling; fitted with Espoir Sport road tires with double BlackBelt puncture protection for a reliable ride
  • Espoir Sport 23c tires with BlackBelt punture protection allows for smooth, fast, and confident ride

  • Specialized Comp FACT carbon seatpost absorbs road vibrations and is stiff and efficient; paired with supportive BG Riva Road saddle
There are 3 other models of the Tarmac and an S-Works Tarmac as well that are on sale.  I picked these three as the top of the line, middle ground, and entry level Tarmac just so you can get an idea of the sale pricing and exactly which level provides component wise for you to chose the bike that best fits you!

If you are interested in test riding the Tarmac or any other bike stop by the shop, give us a call, or send us an e-mail.  The sale runs through April 22nd and tomorrow we are going to cover the Roubaix.
