Specialized Turbo S

The Giro d'Italia ended this past Sunday and as I was browsing stories and pictures they showed a picture of the winner Alberto Contador with a S-Works Turbo and Pink Detailing for his Giro Championship.  I was looking for a blog post and figured if they show a picture of Alberto with the Turbo then I should do a blog post as well so today we are highlighting the Specialized Turbo S:

The Specialized Turbo S combines speed and style through an innovative electric-assist motor, advanced electronics, and sleek design. Capable of a top speed of 28 mph, the Turbo S delivers superhuman power to anyone who rides it.
  • Sleek and sturdy alloy frame with Performance Geometry designed for high-speed riding
  • Oversized alloy fork w/ thru-axle dropout is strong and responsive—even at 28 mph
  • Specialized Electrak Armadillo tires for performance and durability no matter the speed
  • Body Geometry Turbo saddle keeps your comfortable for the fastest rides
  • Direct Drive rear hub motor provides uber efficient power no matter the terrain
  • Wireless interface unit with illuminated display to show key ride data
  • Finest quality Li-Ion battery pulls maximum power w/ superfast charging times
For more information on the Specialized Turbo S or the new Turbo stop by the shop.  We have one of each available for test rides.  Turbo S MSRP is $6,000 and the Turbo is $3,800.  We are open from 10-8 today.

Fast & Furious Friday - VENGE EXPERT ULTEGRA

The days are getting longer and unfortunately right now not drier but we know that is right around the corner.  At night I have been watching the Giro d'Italia and Tour of California and those guys are pretty amazing at their profession.  If you want to ride a bike capable of performing to their standards then I would definitely check out the Specialized Venge Expert Ultegra:

The Venge is fast. Plain and simple. Behind it sits a myriad of science, testing, aerodynamic tweaking and design. What does all this mean for you? A bike that's faster in the flats, faster over rollers, and faster in sprints. The Venge will save you 22 watts over 40kp/hr compared to a Tarmac. Couple that with FACT carbon that's nearly as light as it is stiff and the only excuse you have for going slower are those things you're standing on.
  • UCI-legal, FACT 10r carbon frameset with one-piece carbon OSBB/chainstay, internal cable routing, and tapered headtube; full carbon monocoque fork with 3:1 airfoil shaping and straight profile for best combination of aerodynamics and stiffness
  • Roval Rapide SL35 wheelset offers a true aerodynamic advantage, while the wide internal rim width creates a better tire profile to deliver all-around performance
  • Specialized Turbo Pro 23c tires deliver an incredible package of light weight, low rolling resistance and superior traction, all with BlackBelt protection
  • FSA SL-K Light carbon BB30 crank is stiff and light for excellent power transfer
  • Romin Evo Expert saddle, with hollow Ti rails, delivers ergonomically designed, scientifically-proven Body Geometry features to allow riders to deliver power in low, aerodynamic positions
  • Stiff, light, UCI-legal, bladed carbon seatpost flips between 20mm and 0mm setback; plus a wide range of vertical adjustability

MSRP: $4,000.00 - To see all of our Venge inventory stop by the shop.  We are open from 10-6 Friday and Saturday.  This bike would be perfect to take out Sunday on our Spring 50 ride!
