Welcome to What to Wear Wednesday. Typically we will be discussing different clothing or accessories that we stock at Tom's Pro Bike. Being that the official start to winter is right around the corner, and with our first measurable snowfall on the books, we thought we would cover some cold weather gear.
If you have stopped by the new showroom recently you might recognize our mannequin. He is dressed in Pearl Izumi Tom's Pro Bike full length tights, a Pearl Izumi long sleeve Tom's Pro Bike Jersey, and a Pearl Izumi Pro Soft Shell for warmth on the bike!
There is an old saying out there that goes like this - There is no such thing as bad weather, only bad gear! If you remember from Saturday's blog, we sell trainers and we also run a winter race series for those riders that prefer the comforts of indoor winter training. We also carry gear if you have a sunny but cold winter day and want to get out for some fresh air riding, such as gloves and booties to keep your extremities warm on those cold days.
The gear listed above is priced as follows:
Long Sleeve Jersey - $125.00
Full Length Tights - $125.00
Pro Soft Shell - $225.00
Here is what the Pearl Izumi website says about the Pro Soft Shell: Softshell technology gives you a single wind, waterproof and warm fabric layer without the restriction. Updated warmer fabric, increased articulation, chest pocket storage and plenty of reflectivity.
- P.R.O. Softshell provides optimal wind and water protection
- Laser cut Direct-Vent panels provide superior ventilation
- Full length internal draft flap with zipper garage seals in warmth
- One hand pull elastic draw cord at collar seals in warmth
- One back, one chest zippered pocket
- Collar tapers from front to back for on bike ergonomics
- 360 degree reflectivity
- Contoured, shaped sleeve hem with hand mitt adds warmth
- Collar tab allows center front venting
If you mention this blog you will receive those items for the following prices:
Long Sleeve Jersey - $112.50
Full Length Tights - $112.50
Pro Soft Shell - $200.00
Stop by the showroom to check out all of our winter gearing or give us a call if you have any questions. We can answer all of those questions and make recommendations to you concerning keeping warm on these cold Buffalo winter days that we know are here for the next 6 months!
Tomorrow we will be highlighting a bike that will hold up to winter riding as well for those hard core riders that don't believe in indoor training at all!
Remember you can follow us just by adding your e-mail and you will get notifications when we post a new blog for your reading enjoyment.
