We have our local WNYMBA chapter trying to win grant money (which you can help by voting for them at THIS LINK), a 6 week Tuesday night race series is 2 weeks away at Sprague Brook, and I love mountain biking so I figured an Off-Road Triathlon Bike post today would not be a bad thing.
We are highlighting the Specialized Crave Expert 29:
With an all-new frame, the Crave is designed for fast cross-country racers. It delivers great performance with the help of a RockShox Reba RL 29 fork, a Shimano Deore XT rear derailleur, and Shimano Deore Hydraulic disc brakes provide confidence to attack each corner.
- New, fully butted, smooth-welded M4 Premium Aluminum frame is super-lightweight, stiff, and features XC 29er Geometry, integrated headset, tapered headtube for front-end stiffness, plus bridge-less seatstays for compliance over bumps
- 100mm-travel RockShox Reba RL 29 fork features a Solo Air spring, TurnKey damping remote Push-Loc, tapered steerer tube and externally adjustable rebound for plush and lightweight performance
- Specialized Stout SL Disc 29" wheels feature double-wall rims with sealed bearings for lightweight, durable wheels
- Custom SRAM 10-speed XC double-ring crankset with 29er gearing and GXP bottom bracket offers lightweight and durable performance paired with Shimano Deore XT Shadow Plus 10-speed rear derailleur for exceptional shifting performance
- Shimano Deore hydraulic disc brakes use 180mm front rotor for increased braking power, while 160mm rear rotor keeps weight low. Shimano levers feature lever reach adjustment
For more information on the Crave or any other mountain bike that we inventory stop by the shop. The trails are drying out and the forecast calls for warmer temperatures so that means fun times in the woods!
May is National Bike Month - why don't you try and commit one more bike commute to work than you did in April as a motivational tool. Remember we have all the tools available to make your commute dry, safe, and comfortable!
