Tom had been hearing from his customers that it was not always possible to get to the shop with his hours that he had been using since the shop opened.  So he listened to his customers and effective March 1st here is the new schedule (yes they are in effect now!)

Today we are going to cover some wheel sets that provide reliability and are very durable but not light in the least bit - but if you are looking for a wheel set to take a pounding on commutes or tours and still roll true for you these will work great for you.

First up is the Mavic Ksyrium Elite S

I have a set of these wheels on my Surly Cross Check that were brought over from a different bike I rode before that and have close to 4000 miles on them and never had an issue at all.  I would have no problem recommending these to anyone looking for a durable and reliable wheel set to ride on for many miles!

Using our Dyad rim, this wheelset is strong and durable without adding weight to your already loaded bike.  It features 14g stainless steel spokes, brass nipples and sealed bearing hubs that are available in 130 or 135mm spacing.  Our standard setup comes in black or silver with 32 spokes in the front and 32 in the rear.  Other drillings are also available.

I do not have this specific set of Velocity rims but I do run Velocity Rims on my Monster Cross bike with DT Swiss hubs and they are awesome.  They roll so smooth and are a great all around wheel set that takes some abuse.
