Bike Review Wednesday - SPECIALIZED S-WORKS TARMAC Di2 DISC

A little while back we had the Specialized Demo Truck at the shop and we all got to test ride some of the 2015 models.  One of them was the 2015 S-Works Tarmac Di2 Disc bike and we were all very impressed with it.  I just came across a Review on BikeRadar of it for your reading enjoyment as well.  The bike has a MSRP of $9,500 and rides like a dream.  We have them in stock at the shop as well so if you are interested in checking out an Electric Shifting, Hydraulic Road Disc Brake, and Carbon bike then stop by and check this beauty out!

If you have been following the blog you have seen this photo of Tom in Arizona wearing his ASSOS kit.  We recently became an Authorized Retailer for ASSOS and their outstanding line of clothing.  Today they announced a special Facebook promotion where you could win signed Swiss National Cycling Team jerseys.

First hurdle is owning some ASSOS gear so stop into the shop today and take a look at our inventory.  While you are there ask Tom about how comfortable and durable their clothing is.  Nothing like an honest review right from the wearer of the clothing!

We are open from 10-6 today so stop by and check out our inventory and start putting together a Christmas List or get some ideas for the bike rider on your list!

Indoor Race Series information is out. Click on the link to register and purchase your race credits because it is going on right now!  Sure the weather was ideal for outdoor riding recently but you saw what happened last weekend.  Don't miss out on some great winter training opportunities!

Mountain Bike Monday - 2015 SPECIALIZED FATBOY

I woke up yesterday to snow on the ground and even though it was melted by 10:00am that means only one thing?  Winter is upon us and the snow is coming!  What better way to enjoy the Western New York winters than riding a Fat Bike and the 2015 Specialized Fatboy is a great one to get a hold of:

All the fun of a fat bike with the performance of a Specialized. The Fatboy combines a lightweight frame and fork with 4.6" Ground Control tires to create a geometry similar to Specialized 29er geometry for nimble handling in the most extreme conditions.

• Fully butted M4 Premium Aluminum frame w/ up to 5-inch tire clearance is lightweight and stiff
• Specialized FACT carbon fork w/ 5-inch tire clearance for stiff handling
• Fat 26" disc, alloy single wall rims are designed to handle even the worst terrain
• Specialized Ground Control Fat 26x4.6" tires roll over anything
• Custom 2x10, forged alloy crankarm, w/ 100mm spindle for put the power down
• Tektro Gemini, hydraulic disc brakes for reliable stopping power
• SRAM X7, 10-speed, medium carbon cage derailleur for crisp and precise shifting

These bikes are capable of doing all of the mountain bike riding that you are comfortable doing and then some.  We took ours down to Ellicottville on the road yesterday to do some training for a 200k race coming up next month.  They are not as fast as a road bike but they provide great training in all types of conditions.  The best thing is that we have them in stock now!

Stop by the shop from 10-8 today and check out our Fat Bike inventory, all of the accessories that go with them, and clothing to keep you warm this coming winter out on the trails!

Don't forget we stock Assos Clothing & Accessories now.  In the picture of Tom below from Arizona he is wearing a kit from Assos, so when he gets back ask him about the line and get some first hand review about a great line of clothing.
